Telvera Privacy Policy
Updated: 7 September 2026
Operator and data contact: Batuhan Şen, Türkiye. Contact hello@telvera.app for privacy questions or data requests.
Scope
This notice covers Telvera's website, browser coffee experience and mobile applications. Features differ by platform and version. The browser experience currently focuses on coffee photos; some mobile versions also offer astrology, tarot, dreams, numerology, chat, palm and face features.
Information you provide
- Coffee photos: the inside of your cup and, optionally, a side view or saucer. Images are resized on your device and sent through our Supabase service to Anthropic Claude for analysis.
- Optional name and focus: used to personalise the reading. These details can be included in the AI request.
- Email: saved in Supabase when you unlock a browser reading or join the launch list. Your email is not sent to the AI with a coffee request. Unlocking displays the result on the page; it does not send a reading by email. Launch announcements require the separate optional choice in the reading form, or signup through the launch form.
- Mobile profile and account information: where those features are available, this can include your name, birth date, optional birth time and selected birth city, sign-in details, and saved preferences.
- Other optional mobile inputs: questions, dream descriptions and photos for the selected feature. Avoid including information about someone else unless you have the right to provide it. Face and palm inputs can contain sensitive personal information. The face feature is limited to adults and requires separate consent; the application does not use it to identify you.
- Content reports: in mobile versions with reporting enabled, the reported AI text, reason and your optional explanation can be sent to the server for review. Cup photos are not attached to the report. Avoid unnecessary personal details in your explanation.
Device storage and saved photos
The browser stores your language choice, optional profile, device identifier, daily allowance and email-unlock state locally. These support your chosen settings and reading allowance. Blocking storage may prevent preferences from surviving a reload.
A temporary browser-tab copy of the reading includes the selected photos, so a page reload can restore the result. It is held in session storage; ending that browser session or selecting a new cup removes it. Browser session restoration can retain tabs, so clearing site data is another way to remove local copies.
On mobile, reading history and preferences can be stored on the device. If you choose to save a cup in the photo journal, a copy of its photo and reading is stored on that device. You can delete saved journal entries. Exporting or sharing a card creates a copy wherever you choose to save or send it. Device backups and recipients may retain their own copies.
AI processing and retention
The selected images and relevant reading context pass through Supabase to Anthropic. Telvera's reading proxy does not intentionally create a permanent server photo library. This does not mean that providers never retain request data or operational logs.
Anthropic's API retention depends on the service terms, model, account configuration and applicable exceptions. We do not promise immediate deletion or zero retention. See Anthropic's commercial data retention notice. Do not upload photos containing information that is unnecessary for the selected feature.
Service providers and usage information
| Provider | Purpose and relevant information |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Website hosting and delivery; technical request information needed to serve and protect the website |
| Supabase | Account and profile services, email list, usage controls, content reports and processing requests to the AI service |
| Anthropic | The selected photos, text, name and relevant context needed to generate a reading |
| PostHog | Usage events and error information to understand and improve the product; the web integration uses memory-only analytics without analytics cookies |
| RevenueCat | Mobile subscription status and related purchase identifiers where purchases are enabled |
| Apple or Google | Store and payment information where a store purchase is available; Telvera does not receive your full payment card details |
| Google AdMob | Technical information for optional, non-personalised mobile advertisements where enabled; currently disabled on Android |
The iOS app does not request App Tracking Transparency permission or use IDFA. Technical device identifiers used for subscriptions and rate limits are not the same as an advertising identifier. We do not add your name, email or birth details to our intended analytics event properties.
Providers may process information outside Türkiye, including the United States or Europe. Their retention and processing practices depend on the relevant service and contractual settings. We do not sell your submitted photos or email address.
Purposes, choices and retention
We use information to provide requested readings, manage accounts and purchases, remember settings, prevent abuse, respond to support requests and, when requested, send launch information. Optional permissions and launch notifications can be declined. Processing and any required consent depend on the feature and the law applicable to you.
Account and launch-list records remain in our systems until they are removed or no longer needed for their stated purpose. You can request removal by email. Local history is controlled through the app or browser settings. Content reports are retained as needed for review and follow-up; you can request deletion. Provider logs, purchase records and legally required records can have different retention periods. Deleting an account does not automatically cancel a store subscription or erase copies you have exported or shared.
Your requests
Contact hello@telvera.app to request access, correction, deletion or a copy of your information, withdraw optional consent, or object to processing. We may need to verify that a request concerns your information. We respond within the periods required by applicable law. Your rights can include restrictions on processing and contacting your local data protection authority. Mobile account deletion is also available through the profile settings where accounts are supported.
Telvera is not intended for children under 13. Users under 18 require permission from a parent or guardian, subject to local requirements. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted information that should be removed.
Updates
We update this notice when the product or processing changes. The current date is shown above; material changes will be communicated through an appropriate product or contact channel.
